For weeks on end I’ve seen this lorry, from the nation-wide grocery wholesaler Asko, driving to and fro on this distant island of ours, some 300 miles away from Oslo. The text on the side reads:
En route to the Ski World Championship in Oslo
(of which, apparently, said wholesaler is a sponsor)
And I can’t help feeling a wee bit sorry for the poor sod.
P.S. Holmenkollen is the national ski arena in Oslo, the nation’s capital.
P.P.S. The simpleton that I be has always been under the impression that Asko was a Finnish furniture chain.
